Death metal has never really been my thing. I get that it’s hugely popular, but I was too young for thrash and missed the initial wave of death completely. Doom and stoner have always connected with me, but there’s something about this album that hits a sweet spot for me. Maybe it’s the occult-tinged theme of tarot cards, or maybe it’s just the homage to that old, dirty, grungy style of death metal that got that whole sub-genre going. Either way, this album is really good. Check it out! Kirk Gauthier
Ferocious, fierce, fiery and furious. I'll really move to Australia if it keeps going like this. This, together with AoR, grows on you and grows into you until it possesses you completely. Escape is not an option. YomaBarr
